This is kind of embarassing butcould someone tell me how to remove the stock shift knob on my TL? I am buying a burlwood replacement but before I do I want to be sure I can install it.

TIA.

You might want to put a rag over the shift knob to increase your grip.

My shift knob came off without too much force. I got it off in a matter of seconds.

Thanks for the info.

I figured it must be threaded but Iwailed on it pretty hard and I was afraid I was going to snap the shaft or bend it. I'm going to wrap a cloth around the shaft and hold with pliers to reduce some of the torque.
