I have an issue with my infotainment system in my 2019 Acura TLX (base 2.4L). The screen is blank and the buttons don't work. I can still sometimes hear the radio and can call using the hands free link. Clearly, the fuse is not blown. A battery disconnect for 1 hour did not improve anything. The screen does show a thin white rectangular box in a black background. The top screen shows the Acura logo on startup, but nothing else after that. I am quite positive that the infotainment system somehow got locked due to corrupted memory. I hope this can be cleared without replacing hardware.

Only the volume can be turned up or down, but the power on/off does not work - which is the same button. The car drives fine and the dashboard/instrument cluster is normal. The HVAC buttons - temperature up/down seems to work, although I cannot see the setting since the screen is blank.

Does anyone have any ideas other than visiting the dealer? At this point the bumper to bumper warranty period is over (4 years). I just have powertrain coverage for 2 more years.

Thanks.

The battery was replaced one month prior to the infotainment failure. No amount of battery or fuse disconnect was able to revive the unit. Since the buttons are inoperative doesn't seem to be a way to perform a hard reset.

Is there another hard reset method using a paperclip or something?

In my case, the power button is unresponsive. Once the radio is turned on using the left hand steering wheel button (phone hang up), the volume control works, but the power button still does not work.
