Hello all,

I am new to the forum and need some help troubleshooting an intermittent high idle issue. I have a 1998 Acura CL 3.0L with 237,000 miles on it. The thing still runs great. Just started having issues with the idle spiking from around 800 rpm to 1500 rpm. Doesn't matter if the engine is warm or cold and it doesn't happen all the time. I just replaced the idle control valve thinking this was the issue. I have no "maintenance required" or "check engine" lights on. I'm hoping it kicks out a code so I can have it diagnosed. I have not checked for air or vacuum leaks yet. That's my next move.

Any help would be appreciated.
