Added a couple Polk 12's, powered by an MTX 2300... it was easier than I thought it would be. The hard part was getting power into the car. I found a grommet (need pictures? I've got 'em), but it was hard to get it through. A little help from a long, thin screwdriver helped, then fed the 8 gauge into the car, and up the driver's side. Removing the seat was a chore. If you need help on that, I've got pictures. Took out the Bose amp and sub, wired the new one up (got pictures of that, too), threw in an old box and powered it up. I'm still tweaking it, but it sounds a LOT better than stock already. I think I'll just get it down to one 12 after I find a good box, or get off my lazy butt and make one. So, anyone out there that is putting it off because they think it is a chore, it's not that bad.

Here are some pics of the whole process if people want to check them out. They include getting power through the firewall, removing the back seat, and tapping into the wires going to the stock amp. I hope they can be of help.

Nice, very nice!!! So you have your woofers facing you? I thought that all woofers should face the trunk to sound right? I could be wrong I just added my sub as well and I'm very happy with it!!! Just wait until you replace those weak a$$ stock Bose Coax's :beerchug:

Can you still use your steering audio controls with your setup? I want to replace the other speakers, but I like that control...
Yes that's a very important part not to touch the stock HU! When I had my Legend, I put an Alpine HU in and the steering wheel controls didn't work and I was pissed:bash: You prob. really don't realise how much we use them until you don't have it Anyway the stock HU is still really good for stock as long as you bypass all the :bs: like the EQ + Amp. I'm sure you can Bump as loud as you want and nothing skips but with the stock speakers I'm sure you get that HISSING noise than that will go away once you bypass stuff! I'm sure right now your BASS is amazing but you just can't hear what there saying YES just 1 12" is enough 4 sure!!! Damn I wish I knew how to do the install myself, you did a really good job and good luck with the stocks!!!
