I've been using a #3497 bulb for the Hi-Mount stop light on my 2001 RL.
But, I've gone through 3 of them in the past year. I'm not sure why they are burning out so fast.
I'd like to use an LED bulb instead, but it's been challenging to make sure I get one that will fit and work properly.
Have you found an LED version of the 3497 that will work for the high mount stop bulb?

I did get an 1156 LED bulb and it works great! I'm hoping I never have to replace it again.

BTW, for anyone else looking to switch to LED bulbs, I found this handy cross-reference list online at OnyxLights (but I can't post the URL).
