I'm looking into buying a 98 Acura TL but it has a weird issue. Sometimes the transmission doesn't shift from first to second when in auto, but when in manual it works just fine shifting. I am told it's some type of sensor or switch thats messed up.

Now if thats the case, where would i find one and for how much? He wants $1400 for it and it has 134k miles on it.

Is it a 2.5TL or a 3.2TL? Though they look close in appearance, they are very different animals.

It was the 3.0

But i was able to take it to a shop where they told me the tranny was toast and it had about $2000 in other issues that needed to be fixed. So i walked on it.
