I hope you guys and gals can help me out there. I am trying to get the heavy duty torsion bars to counteract the weight of the sound dampening I applied to my trunk lid. I found this part number, 08F13-SOK-201R2, in another post but the online dealer I talked to said this part number was discontinued. Does anyone know what the replacement part number is?

Alternatively, does anyone have some detailed instructions or pictures of a conversion from torsion bars to pneumatic lifts?

Thanks.

Hey SuperDave, your Dealer should be able to order them. They show 19 in the Ohio parts dist. center. Make sure you tell him its XXXXXX-S0K-XXXXX (s - zero-K and not s-letter "o" -K).

The part number, for future reference is:

08F13-S0K-201R2

let me know if you have any more trouble, u can get them thru hondaacuraworld too..

Thanks very much for your help guys.

Outlook - Thanks for pointing out the 0 instead of O. That is probably the problem. I tried to get those from my dealer but they said they were only available as a kit with the spoiler. I would just as happy not to have to deal with them. Thanks.

I know you can buy them separately. The point is that the local dealer said I could only buy them as a set with the spoiler. Since they don't want to take care of me, I guess I will go with someone else like HondaAcuraWorld. Isn't the free market beautiful? :D Thanks again.

Master of Torsion, I will definitely get the tool. I don't fancy a broken or bloody finger or worse.

Awesome price! Thanks songoku

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find them yet. I checked out AHmotor.com and they said the part was discontinued because they tried to order it 6 months ago. I also sent an email to hondaacuraworld.com and haven't heard anything from them.

Any other places you know can order them? Thanks.

Sorry I haven't responded yet. They're not discontinued, but the tool is backordered right now. The springs are available for $26.00 shipped for the pair. Give me a ring if you'd like to order them.

I bought the spoiler kit which comes with the torsion springs....can anyone give me instructions or pic on how to install them ...thanks!
First of all, you need the tool, Click Here for info on it...it's under $5, courtesy of songoku :D

Next, you will need the PDF file from the Helm's manual. I don't have access to a copy of it, but many people here do. You can search for it.

The instruction above is for ACCORD but it's pretty much same. Please refer to page 4.

You need to have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. ;)
