Hi there. I have a 2002 Acura TL Type S which has a shaky acceleration. When I step on the gas hard, the car shakes while it accelerates. Here's the thing though; it doesn't shake at all when cruising at the same speed...I could set my cruise control drive for miles without ever noticing the shaking problem...well, until I would hit a hill and the cruise control would try to give it more gas. And another thing is that when I am doing city driving and I accelerate slowly (gently depressing the accelerator that is) once again, the shaky problem is not there. It only happens when I step on the gas hard like when entering the freeway, or when I need to suddenly change lanes fast, or going up a hill, and so on. Has anyone else encountered this problem as well. Please let me know if you were able to get a resolution to this problem.
Listening to the advise from an Acura dealer, and some local mechanics, I have already changed the axle, and all the motor mounts, and in doing so spent close to a grand but that did not fix the problem.
Please let me know if you have any helpful answers to my question, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
