Hello all,
I just bought a 1999 CL 3.0 (222k on the clock) for a song. It runs really strong, great gas millage, plenty of power, shifts smooth, but has a few issues I'm prepared to deal with, such as catalytic converter, ABS and brake light, and maybe a bad blower motor (Heat and A/C dont blow when turned on), but theres 2 things I' not sure about;
1- when downshifting to 1st gear, when it gets down to 10 mph, the tranny surges 100 rpms and I feel a little buck. Only happens when slowing down. Is this a harbinger of serious transmission issues to come?
2- Its throwing a p1106 code, baro sensor. From what I've read, I have to replace the ECU to get rid of this. Is this correct, and if I do replace it from another 1st gen CL, do i have to get it reprogrammed at the dealer?
Any advice will be appreciated since I'm new to Acura ownership. Thanks to all in advance.
