Going to get two new tires for our 1998 Acura CL. The back tires have 7/32 depth. Getting two new ones and the tire store said to put the new tires on the back (11/32 depth). I always thought you put the new tires on the front for a front wheel drive car. Is this the case? Please advise.

There are pros and cons either way. Old tires on the rear can make a car more prone to over steer. Old tires on the front can lead to under steer and overall less traction. With 7/32 on the old tires there is still plenty of traction to use so it should be an issue. Since the front tires wear faster I would put the new tires on the front.

Just my two cents though.
