any of you guys with painted calipers-

was it a big pain in the ass? you do it yourself or just pay someone else to do it?

it wasn't that hard to paint it yourself. but after doing it, idon't think it's worth it unless you can actually see your calipers. i used the 1500 degree paint or something around that temperature range to do mine. it's pretty simple. take off the wheel, cover up all the spots you don't wanna get paint on. clean off all the brake dust and dirt on the caliper. start spraying on layers of the paint. i did like four coats or something, don't quite remember. just do as many as you like so the color comes out right. i think you can spray paint clear coat on it or something to make it last longer, but my caliper paint thing didn't last for more than a month before it started looking dull.

Sure, pretty easy!

I painted mine Silver, looks clean. did not even use the high temp paint!

I cant say it was easy, but its not hard either. Its just alot of prep work. I say do it. It looks alot better. Mine chipped after a few months though. I wish I could get them chrome dipped.
