Hello Folks- I am looking at a local to me 01 RL 2 owner car. Naples Gold Tan Leather Non-Navi. Second owner since 2004 and 40,000. It comes with a folder 2 inches worth, full of work done and repairs from 2004-present.

The RL Drives nice and smooth and tight. Everything seems to work as expected. It does have the SRS light that is on, but saw the fix for that. The TB was changed at 125,xxx, so it is due in the next 12,500 miles and just passed PA inspection, interior looks great, new tires at 190K, work done at 207K includes tune-up, air filter, fuel filter, power steering flush, drive belt change, rear brake pads, all fluids.

It has a scuff on the left front bumper and a little rust forming on the right rear corner, plus a very slight crease on the right front fender. Looking to use as commuter car to work highway and in town 3-4 days (200 miles a week) a week and perhaps a grocery getter as needed. This would be a 4th car, but used in conjunction with my DD which is a manual, but due to left hip and knee arthritis, looking for a reliable automatic.

Owner is asking $1,500 and I offered a $1,000 and he politely said no. Looking at going back to him at $1,150, with $1,200 being my max. Is that a reasonable price for the car and the condition and care it has received from this gentleman?

Hey, car looks solid. I wouldn't offer more than 1,250 $USD personally and if you are really interested that's what you should settle at, unless you want this car badly just go for 1,5k. The 250$ USD is not that big chunk of cash.

Talked with the owner Tuesday and offered $1,200, he asked for $1,300 and we met at $1,250.

Picked it up last night. Drives great at 60-70MPH as well as 30-50MPH. Will need the TB kit and perhaps while under there do the valve cover gaskets for good measure. Trans fluid flushed 4,000 miles ago last year and car came with a fresh oil change and full tank of gas. Not bad for buying privately....
