Sorry in advance if this gets wordy or confusing.
I recently replaced the trunk release acuator/mechanism on my 04 TL and found the following results that are most confusing and has led me to beleive two things: my car is possessed or I have some sort of
aranoid:strange wiring issues.
With the trunk lid in the fully open or raised position: trunk release mechanism will work with key fob and inside dash release. I can hear and see lock release when either bottoms are engaged.
With the trunk lid in the half closed position: trunk release mechanism will not work with either key fob or inside dash release. No audible sound or visual release of lock.
With the trunk closed: neither key fob or inside dash release will open the trunk and I must use the "T" shaped pull in between the seats or the "kidnap" slide to load or unload.
What gives? Is there a demon in my trunk or a simple wiring issue that engages and makes contact only in certian positions of the trunk lid opening?
