I've heard 6-7k including labor.

Not entirely sure of the specifics tho.
Is it possible (done with reasonable price) to drop in the CL-S 6 speed in our TL?

I hope my tranny won't go... but all this talk about everyone's tranny going dead.... if it costs $7~8K to get the auto tranny, then wouldn't it cost about the same price??? Dunno. Just wondering.
I just got my tranny replaced this week with a rebuilt transmission for $1400 installed......but this was not at the dealer:( :)

Yeah, rebuilt transmission cost a lot cheaper than getting brand new transmission.
i was reading at a-tl.com on a thread there, that some people got their transmissions replaced at the dealership, even though they were no longer under the factory warranty period.

i guess one dude had 70k plus miles on his car when tranny went out, and the dealership he went to replaced tranny at no cost...

i have a feeling mine is about to go soon...so i'm gonna see what the dealership says....maybe if you complain alot and say that you have heard of this problem then you can get it replaced at no cost.

personally, as probably many of you feel, this is a quality issue with acura, if i had known there was gonna be tranny problems, i would never have bought a TL...it kinda sucks to be worried about your cars tranny, usually the tranny is the last thing to go.
If you have tranny problems, be persistant and Honda will help you.
