My wife lost her key (switchblade type). We have the “Driver 2” key. Dealer says $195 to solve. Keys (uncut/unprogrammed) are $60 on ebay. Locksmith will cut for $40. QUESTION: Can I program the new key? I see programing instructions for older TLs. Can anyone point me to instructions/answer for a 2012? Thanks!

Please give some input if you have any to give I too am looking to replace a lost key for my 2011 TL and would rather purchase from eBay for much less if possible.

no you cant program the key yourself because during the key registration you have to input a immoblizer release code that only the dealership can access and has to be done on a Honda Diagnostic System(HDS) scanner at the dealership

I programmed mine for $20. I bought a new key for $108 which includes the key cut.
