Mods could you please make this a sticky?

Well with all the activity acura CL section gets on this board i figured this would be the best place to post so everybody can see

Ok here's the low down. Bitium from acura-tl.com is attempting to get this thing off the ground once again. They need get a large number of pre-orders in so they can get the product made and shipped. Apparently, Bitium and Tim from ACP.com will handle the money so Doug won't run off with our loot hehe They need atleast 400 people to get the shit made so PLEASE go over to a-tl.com and vote!!!!!!

They said it was a Type-S Mod only... Is this true, I don't see what's so different on a CL-P engine......

It will work for both the Premium and TypeS engines.

Another update!!!!!

This info is from RAdams. He was on of the original members who tested and helped develope RES with Doug.

RES Information
Doug called me at about 7:30 Monday evening to discuss the RES and MM2. Since he's been unable to log on to the boards lately, he asked that I share some information with you all.

The RES project has not been scrapped. He's still some $90,000 short of being able to make the first production run. I mentioned that there was quite a bit of interest on the boards lately and he seemed glad to hear it.

"Mystery Mod II" or "MM2" is alive and very well. We can all theorize as to what this is, but I do know that it's electronic in nature and interacts with the ECU. He began testing about 7 months ago and ran into a few bugs (mainly check engine lights). Apparently they've been worked out as it's been installed on his MDX for the last 5 months without a single problem. In his words, the [dyno-proven] gains for this mod are "almost identical" to the gains from the RES. He also mentioned the likelihood of MM2 being released before the RES, but gave no specific dates for either, nor did he mention any idea of pricing for MM2.

As some of you may know, Doug left Rick Case Honda a while ago. He's now working for another Honda dealer in South Florida and is still very much interested in releasing these items. I'm going to head down to the new dealership one of these days to meet with him and get as much information on these as I can (i.e. pricing, anticipated release dates, etc.) though him being in a new job might affect the timetables somewhat. I'll share any further information with you as I get it.

Whats the deal with the 3.5 liter upgrade for 2500. Is that upgrade worth it? What are the gains for the upgrade? Thanks again.

sorry for not responding right away i've been mad busy. 3.5L upgrade is what MachtypeS had back in the day before his car got jacked. It basically gives you 40hp/30ft-lbs of trq. FOr the $ it's not cost effective as power/dollar goes HOWEVER and a big HOWEVER, this mod will increase and broaden your trq curve by leaps and bounds. This will put your car at 300hp/260ft-lbs of trq. You know how the GTP's really whomp on us from 0-80?????

WEll with this upgrade you will run 14.0-14.3 at the track in hot weather with warm temps. This displacement increase gives our cars what they lack......low end grunt. THe power should be available from about 3k RPM and up. FYI, you will need headers.

UPDATE

This is the latest update:

There seem to be enough insterest to get the RES into production, but doug has decided to try and get a different production company were he could run smaller batches (ie 100-200) The company is currently laser reading the dimensions of the current RES and then it will put it into production. I try to get the RES out sooner, but it seems like we are going to have to wait for a couple more weeks. Sorry to share this info with you. I really wanted to see how the RES performs on the track. Hope well.
