Has anyone had repairs done to there rims, for example; curbed rims, niks, polished, etc. I am taking in my rims to get the curbed parts remove and my question is does the rim shop put another clear coat like how the rims come with a protective coat. i know they got to remove the original coat thats why? Thanks in advance, and if anyone knows a good rim repair shop in hawaii let me know.

Nope no wheel repair shop here in the 808 state. Have to ship them to the USA or Japan depending on where the wheel was born.

Buy a new rim. That's my suggestion. For $100-150 bucks for repairing a rim (plus possible shipping and time without car), you're better off buying a new rim. I had my rim repaired for $125. I was not impressed. I would gladly pay an extra $200 dollars to simply replace it.

I depends what kind of rim you have. Sometimes, it's better to get another rim instead of re-condition it.
