Blinking Red circle = security system light letting you know its armed. However after a day and a half battery is drained. So I've been locking the car with the button on the door. Instead of hitting the remote key fob. Any suggestions ?

Not so sure its your security system! You may have some other parasitic drain on your battery. You need to start eliminating things by pulling fuses etc.
