I managed to install my EGR valve, my RPM used to stay at 1, since I've installed the EGR valve, it's just below 1 and feels like it wants to stall, matter of fact, it has stalled once, ain't nothing like the good ol' c carburetor where you just have to turn a screw and adjust the flow! What can I do to make the RPM to go up a little?

Another issue that you may be having is that your RPM gauge seems to be working, but the readings that you are getting may be erratic or even not accurate. This could be caused by interference from other electrical devices, faulty wiring, or a damaged RPM gauge.

Your car should probably be idling around 700 rpm, smoothly not 1k. Your tach is working ok. I suspect you have a throttle body issue! Start the car and have someone run the car up-to 2,000 rpm and hold it! Pull the air intake hose off the throttle body and spray throttle body cleaner on the butterfly, and around the inside of the throttle body. Next there are two holes at the bottom of the throttle body, spray into them also. Keep the car running up at 2,000 rpm for a minute while you button it up, release and see if it idles correctly. If it doesn't you might have to change out the throttle body or the mass airflow sensor. U can try cleaning it by spraying it also.
