I was searching for a new car, currently have a beater, and found a 2005 TL near my area for $7,000. It has 130k miles on it, and the dealer said that the timing belt, pumps, etc were serviced and replaced. Is this a good buy, or should I stay away because of the problems with the automatic transmission?
Thanks!

The 2005 doesn't really have what I'd call a lot of transmission issues. If the price is right by the book and the 105K service has been done, I'd say it sounds like a good buy :)
