sidemarker lights

I want to get some sidemarker lights on my car but I dont know weather to do them myself (14.99 from pepboys, install myself for free) or have a shop do them for $95. Is it that hard to install them? anyone done it by themself? I guess if I were to do it myself, I would wire them to my fogs or parking lights. $95 is kind of a lot just for some lights but I really want some...

Blackshadow's got them, I think......and so does Pawel, but I'm not sure if he's on this site

i think i remember those pics he posted on "the other" site. Pawel's car is white right? Do you know if he instaled them himself or had somewhere else do it?

Yeah, Pawel's car is white....I don't know if either of them had them installed or if they did it themselves. Blackshadow's here so you can ask him....I'm sure him and Pawel are friends so he'd know how Pawel got the sidemarkers installed.

$80 diff?I'd let the shop do it! That way you dont have to bother with the install,and if it gets screwed up the shop's responible,because there is some drilling and wire splicing involved.Besides your cars worth it

ok I think I'll let the shop do it, I don't like the idea of drilling holes into my own car

I'd like to see them on the TLs. Does anyone else have pics of this?

of course I'd show pics, however I have a TL-P not type S. I don't think I've ever seen them on a type S before:dunno:

Yea I got sidemarkers on my TL and so does Pawel. We got it done at a shop. I recommend a shop cause you don't want to cut into your own car.

Why should that matter? The sidemarker lights goes on the side and the TL and TL-S looks exactly the same from the side.:sqnteek:

what color do ur sidemarkers blink? blue or clear?

I have a set of S2000 clear ones for my TL-S..which I haven't installed yet. I'm still deciding. I like the way yours look binh. it's small and sleek. What kind is it? from this far..it looks like the BMW ones....

also, you should let a shop do this. making a hole in your fender isn't easy... :sqnteek: and it only cost 50 bucks here...w/ sidemarkers

Can you get them for the 1st GEN TLs?

Well...these sidemarkers are "universal" so you can get any kind of sidemarker you please, and install it. due to the fact that we don't originally have sidemarker holes.

I am pretty sure you can get sidemarkers for any cars that does not come with it standard.

My sidemarker is flushed into the panel so it looks pretty good. I will try to find a closer pic of it for you.

Thanks Binh! Flush huh? now it really sounds like the BMW one. haha. can you try to find a place online that has a pic of these? Where did you get them?

I got mine at a performance shop in NJ. Once I find the pic, I will post it up.
