No them truckers don't repair it. You call them and hear them mockingly laugh at your request. I've tried this before, but there's just no way to prove it. The criminals just get away with it. Cops should be chasing down the trucks and give them tickets for this kind of stuff--massive $5000 tickets.

Oh well. I just got my new 3rd windshield installed on my car. Let's hope this one holds up. So far my average time between major windshield rock chips has been every 6 months in my TL. this sucks.

I used to work with a guy who had his glass cracked by some debris that got flung out of a truck... I don't remember to what level he went through with the complaint but they offered to fix it for him.

Truck fleets are insured (or should be anyway). Worst case you bring a claim to whoever insures the carrier. Glass repairs aren't cheap so you might want to fight it if you can.

well it's not happened to be before but i have couple of friends with the windshields cracked by rocks from truck and they were able to claim it

That sucks dude...my coach's car got hit by a golf ball one time and the course ended up paying for it...

that fucking rots ....sorry man

I had a quote done by acura once it was like 4-600 bucks i dont remember

I have 2 chips froma gravel trcuk around here -- got their location, time, date, etc... and a witness, but no plate (it was going in the opposit direction) they actually said why didn't you turn around and get it? uhhh maybe because it was a high speed road....

anyways... they hemmed and hawed for 2months and then just said no.


i have like 5 chips in my window now -- new one on the way to NYC the other day
