Re: Sub... Trans...

I previously owned an Acura TL 1999. I've never had problems with the trans although I've heard of other having problems with it. Now now own a 2003 (actually leased) TL-S.
With that said, what kind of driving do you do to have the trans go? I beat on my car a little bit I guess. I love the pickup when driving through the tolls on the Garden State Parkway. I drive many highway miles down interstate 78 and normally do between 90 and 100 mph but I don't consider that beating on the car.
Let's talk about this sub. If I wanted to keep my stock radio in dash, will the Sub you have for sale make my system sound better? And finally, how much are you asking for it?
Tranny: My tranny is still going strong..but I have heard (read) countless posts of people tranny going south on them and many are even on 2nd and 3rd replacement. As for as driving style, it seemed that doesn't matter how you drive the car..if it goes, it goes....that's the scary part.
Sub: Yes, the sub will definately give you better bass...listen to your stock ones..crank the bass button all the way up, and I can barely hear any bass at all...I replaced all my speakers with Polk DX6 (great cheap way) and sound is MUCH MUCH MUCH better..very crisp, clear....high and mid are all there... Dr. cookie intalled the RMB8 in his and he said it's A LOT better than stock sub....for under $100 for the replacement, you can't go wrong for better music...I need my bass
BTW, if you want the other sub, it'll be $80 shipped..that's half of the price i paid..basically we are splitting the pair up and the price.
Look for the thread on something like "I need a parter for TL sub replacement" or soething like that...there's an original link from DrCookie on more info about it as well as instruction to install and everything. I have a more thorough instruction and will forward it to you and will make the spacer for you too..all u have to do is put it in. Oh, I am ordering the sub now and they will be here this Friday...can't wait
