I noted when I took the rear license plate off to apply sound dampening to the back side of the plate that there are two holes in the exterior tailgate panel. Seems odd, am I missing rubber or plastic fillers or is this designed to be open? Seems water can enter the tailgate.

If this is for the 2013 RDX, it appears that's the way it was designed....
