Two weeks ago my 2006 Acura TL started having a strange problem. After about 15 seconds upon starting my car, there is a "pop" sound kind of like a blown speaker and then there is no sound. The radio/CD player still shows power (meaning it has not been turned off completely) but it also does nothing. I can't switch CDs or change radio stations. If I turn my car off and turn it back on, the radio comes on again for 15 seconds and then makes this popping noise and shuts off again. Doesn't sound like a fuse and I have already removed and reconnected the battery to no avail. Any ideas? What would cause this?:wtf:

Nope, the "POP" and 15 second delay is an internal circuit breaker in your audio unit tripping, and the unit going in to protect mode. When you turn the car off and turn it on, it resets the internal breaker.

The simple fix is that you need a new audio unit. You either have a shorted op amp, or capacitor inside the amplifier section.
