Hi, thanks for taking a look. I have 261,000 miles on my 1996 RL. I have never changed the transmission fluid. The car has always been magical and never needed anything. It has always shifted perfectly, etc. I now have a minor leak and discovered my transmission fluid is low. The transmission fluid is golden colored and clear. No visible signs of .. ?
I wonder what to top it up with or to change and go with the new ATF DW-1 fluid? I understand the old ATF-Z1 is no longer available and I am sure that is what is in it.. I wonder about topping it off with the ATF DW-1 or changing it? I also understand to only use a Honda product.
Is the DW-1 a synthetic?
Seems like anything I do is dangerous.. Any thoughts?
