I have a 2005 RL, that is just plain MOODY. The AC blows fine, and then just switches to blowing hot air. Not to good for hot summer days. I have checked the freon levels and even hooked up to AC guages... fine. Replaced AC sensor in the fuse box... no help. Put 2 rebuilt compressors in it during the las 2 summers... no help. Anybody else got a moody car? HELP!

I do not know if this is even a possibility, but something to look into.

On my chevy truck, there is a blend door, located in the area of the heater core and a/c coil. This has an electronic actuator that modulates between cold and hot, depending on the setting. On the chevy's, these are notorious failure items. I also had a ford with a bad one a number of years ago. There is an electric actuator that needed to be replaced.

On an acura, I do not know if they use the same system, but I wouldn't be suprised.
