What's a fair price for stock Type S rims

I just got a new 2003 TL. I hope to replace the stock 16" alloys with the 17's from the TL-S. I'll probably keep the 16's for snows and run the 17's in the summer.
What do you figure I should pay for a set of "like new" stock 17's from a TL-S.

TIA.

i seen ones priced from $800-1000, they are a hot item. :)
Yeah - acura-tl.com has them for $225 so that's 9 bills for a set.
I was hoping to do better with so many Type-S guys out there buying aftermarket 18's and 19's.

Tirerack has MODA R1's that I like the look of for only 149 but I don' t know if they're any good.
well acutally i seen people sell the type-s wheels WITH tires for 800-1000... which i think is a good deal.
If tires are included then I agree. Anyway, I have to wait until I wear out the tires that came with the car then I'll do the upgrade. Car is only 2 weeks old so I'm still broke. Thanks for your opinion.
Your best bet is ebay. I've seen at least couple of sets.
Good Luck!!! ;)
I just got a set of TL-S wheels on eBay for $600 without tires, a good deal. eBay is definitely your best bet.
I was probably watching the auction you won!

There's one going now that includes the stock Michelins. Not the best tires in the worl but good enough if the price is right.

Thanks for the reply.

There's always one or two sets going on eBay, you might get lucky. The set I bought looks wonderful on my car, with the Dunlop SP Sport 5000s I just bought. Will post pictures after my Comptech springs are installed Monday.

By the way, I asked my dealer how much a new TL-S wheel costs. They charge around $300 EACH. I paid $150 each.

Good luck!
I sold mine last year for $900. That was with tires in practically new condition (only about 400 miles on them). I sold them to someone close by so shipping charges were not an issue. I've seen them go for as little as $600 w/ tire but that's crazy.
Thanks for your input. By the way, I guess you have a Type-S, what kind of rims did you put on to replace your stock 17's ?

I have to admit I prefer the style of my 16's to that of the stock 17's so I'm starting to look at other wheels.
hey giantfan,

im thinking for selling my stock TL-S w/ no tires.....

im thinking of selling them for 600 with 2 tires only (if you want the tires)....they have about 23 k miles on them....

i bought a 4 new tires, but im thinking of getting another set of 17s.......
150 a piece sounds very fair. Unfortunately I'm broke and will have to wait until I wear out the tires on my 16's.

Thanks for the offer. :D
