I'm an RL owner. I got my new RL back in 99 (Naples Gold Metallic) when I was 28. I don't think I'm too old to own one. Its not just for 50+ year old people. Its looks classy not like bubble mobiles that Lexus makes.

The ride is awesome. Its much more comfortable than my dad's 99 Acura TL and smoother than my sister's 2002 BMW 530i.

I also keep a 97 NSX-T (Spa Yellow) for my weekend car.

I think the car has just enough power and doesn't really need a V8. The greasy michelins that it comes doesn't grip well anyways. Press too hard on the gas and the tires squeal like a baby and the TCS kicks in.

I switched to Yokohama AVS dbs and now the car grips like a leech. TCS doesn't kick in except in heavy rain or snow now.

Dealer told me that I was the youngest RL owner they've ever sold to. I think there was someone else on Edmunds that wanted to buy an RL and he was 27 so I guess I'm not the youngest.

Welcome to the board Mr. T :p :mrt: :D

Got any pics of your RL? We'd love to see them. ;)

I'm and RL owner and I'm no where the average age of owners which is 51. I always get teased(jokingly), that I'm an old fut. I just turned 22 recently.

What first captured my attention with Acura was it's styling with the Legend. I believe I was 15 at the time, and when I graduated from High School I purchased a used '95 LS coupe. I then veered away from Acura and purchased a Supra TT, but got drawn back into Acura again in which I purchased a '97 3.5RL. I've since upgraded to a '99 and can't wait for the next generation to be unveiled. Hopefully the new model will surpass that of it's would be predecessor(current KA9 model). The release date for the next generation is religiously being pushed back, so I hear. I've heard '03 a while back, then '04, in which I now hear it's '05.

Juiced_RL.... I did the headlight housing project myself. It took some time and patience .. but I liked how it turned out. Let me know if you need help. And where'd you gonna get the billet grilles??...do they make it for the '99?

Hi everyone,

Sorry it took so long at getting pics. I'm just lazy. Anyways, its raining outside, so I took pics in my garage.

Yes. Its a 97 NSX-T. I have about 14k miles on it now. It makes a great weekend car. Very cheap to maintain. I just wish I had more time to drive it.
