I'm Mobile-1 10w30 only. I know about its slippage in its full synthetic content, but I can't justify $10-$15 more per oil change than I already pay for marginally better oil for Redline, etc.

Also - what filter do you use? Again, I'm a Mobile-1 M105.

hey auto,

how many tips were left, and do ya think I can get some tommorrow at sale price? (next to Long Johns :))

do you take yours to the dealer for oil change? How much for Mobil 1, and what do they charge? (Courtesy, 17-92?)

I might use 5W-30, Mobil 1

That's the one! It's right around the corner from my house! I think they might have 2 left, but those might have been 4" OD (Outside Diameter), where I got the 3.5" OD.

I used to take it to Don Mealey (now Courtesy), but I change it myself. Courtesy rocks - ask for Steve Horner.

My CLS was a piece of cake, and I'm sure the TLS is the same.

I get Mobile-1 for $20 a case at costco, if I remember correctly. Autozone seems to be the only place that carries the Mobile-1 filters. The closest AZ is out on 436 near 17-92. :(

Mobil1 5W-30 for me. :D

5W-20 is good too, maybe even 0W-20, but Please stay away from 10W-30. That is too thick for our engine. :(

10W-30 is thicker at lower temperatures and won't flow as easily or as quickly as a thinner 5W oil, hence it won't protect as well during startup on our particular cars.

I was suprised. I went to my local deal (David McDavid Acura - Plano, Tx.) to pick up some crush washers for my first oil change and the parts guy gave me 5 for no charge. I went to their sales department originally to buy my TLS and they sucked so I went to Irving and used Goodson Acura. I talked trash about DM's Acura in other posts but between me and a friend who has his S2000 serviced there I think there parts/service department is proving to be a quality organization.:)

Honda 5w-20 with a HAMP filter ( Honda After Market Products) From Japan
I've heard great things about the HAMP filter - how much are they, and do you know if it's better than the M1?

I normally use 5w-20 Redline and just last oil change tried Mobil 1 5w-30 Tri... and I love redline... Car feels smoother and much more quieter... I don't if you can really feel or hear a difference or if it's a mind set thing, but redline feels the worth of the cost....
