Ok, so I've decided that the ONLY way I'm ever going to get to work from home and make my own hours is if I go into business for myself...so here's my plan.

I'm registering a new supergroovy domain name (that's a secret!), and am going to start soliciting for customers to either host their site on MY domain (www.mandissupergroovyname.com/yoursite) OR to register their own domain and have me handle all the details as well as the site development/administration.

I've got a graphic artist friend who'd love some side work, so eventually it won't be just me...but for now, anyone wanna be a freebie for promo's sake?

Forgot to mention...

This will be an ongoing effort that will take me the next several weeks to get up and running. I'm getting my ass kicked by an enterprise-wide survey distribution and maintenance application at work right now (heh - but it's an application that would be HIGHLY useful in the private marketplace...damn those intellectual property laws!!!), but that's due for user testing the first week of March, so it'll free up a lot of my time.

But did I mention I'll do it for free? Has to be under 5 pages, though - for starters. Can't bog myself down so far that I don't have time for the site, itself!

I've got ecommerce capabilities, as well, and would love to have one of those type on there to showcase, but since I don't sell anything...anybody got a home business they want to pursue via Internet? Phin, wanna sell those books (sorry I didn't buy them - decided I didn't have the time to go back to school right now)?

As yet another "forgot to mention": I cannot do a new domain registration for free. That would cost me the setup fee out of pocket, and as much as I love you guys, that ain't gonna happen.

SOOOO - you're stuck with www.mandissupergroovyname.com/yoursite...unless, when it's finished, you decide to upgrade!

You know what's funny - most of the sites I've built are either behind proprietary security or on an intranet... Makes it kinda hard to have a readily viewable portfolio.

I cannot believe more of you people aren't taking me up on this. Bastards!!! This just means I'll have to make up clientele...not like I wasn't planning on doing that, anyway...

I'd be interested in some space to host images that I can link to. I've tried to setup a web server on my home computer (win2k IIS) with no luck.
