i am trying hard to remove the back seat cushion. the back end area, off to the right...where the 2 sealbelt buckles are at...is stuck. i've tried pulling straigt up, out, even side to side. but it wouldn't work. i'd even stuck my hand in on where the stuck part is and notice the padding of the cushion was begginning to tear as i was trying to pull on it. if there was a bolt on there, there aren't any space to use a tool at it. this is pissing me off.

Had the same problem when I replace my rear shocks. There are (4) four bolts that hold down the rear back cushion. One of the four bolts also holds down the rear bench seats as well.

First, remove the rear bench seat. There is a 10mm bolt just the the right of center near the center buckle. Once you remove that bolt, Lift the bench out of the way. Notice the latch mechanism that holds it down on the right and left--they are the same for the rear back cushion.

You should find another 10mm bolt near the center. There are also one bolt on the right and left side of the rear back cushions next to the doors.

After you remove those bolts. There are three guide latches (basically a long loop of hard wire) where the rear deck latches on to. One in the center, left and right. You need to lift the rear bench straight up to clear the latches. If you have an extra pair of hands, this is where you might want to use them. Once you clear these, just move the seat belts to get the rear deck out of the way.

Be carefully, when you remove the 14mm nuts holding the rear shocks. I accidentally stripped one and it took an hour to get it off.

Hope this helps. I was too tired to take pics when I did mine.
