I am gonna get my car lowered 2morrow with KGMM springs, now i think how low should i go 1.5" or 2"?? i know 1.5" i wouldn't have any problem with speed bump, but my friend suggest 2" since it will look better. Wat do u guys think??
2" is fine. I got H&R Race springs, and I'm dropped lower than you.Alien said:I am gonna get my car lowered 2morrow with KGMM springs, now i think how low should i go 1.5" or 2"?? i know 1.5" i wouldn't have any problem with speed bump, but my friend suggest 2" since it will look better. Which is why a rear camber kit is necessary if anybody drops to 2 inches or lower.Black-n-Tan said:it seems that alot of people have had camber issues with a 2 inch-plus drop
i just oredered some tokico shocks, i uneven wear would go away after i have those installed.systek said:lowering 1.5" will wear out ur tires unevenly. i had h&r sports on stock tires and rims and they looked like this:

now i have GC coilovers with less than 1 finger gap and my new tires have been wearing out alot more. so i finally got my camber kit installed and will take the car to get aligned tomorrow. i guestimated on it for now so i could set my ride height and i will have about 2 - 2.5 finger gap. im tired of always rubbing and/or bottoming out. now, i'll just drop it when i go to shows....
Also, not that you would probably be bothered because of it, but you may want to check your local laws about the legal amount of drop allowed. Here in MA, any car lowered over 2" is illegal and can get you a ticket and towed on the spot.Black-n-Tan said:it seems that alot of people have had camber issues with a 2 inch-plus drop
thanks a lot...systek said:currently, i have mine lowered about 1.75 front and rear. so i dont worry about it. i may put the h&r sports back on...still trying to decide. guess it depends how the tokicos work w/my GCs.
not true. tokicos come w/limited warranty. there are limitations to it, but seems like a solid deal. especially useful if you have a tokico dealer nearby who would simply swap the defective one out w/one from his stock, even though you bought urs online.
